Cottage Urgent Care - Santa Maria - Skyway Drive

Went to cottage urgent care today in Santa Maria on Skyway Drive because I wasn’t feeling well and was very impressed with the type of treatment that I received from the beginning to the end they were very professional. The facility was really clean and the PA that I saw (Sickelton) was extremely professional, and had excellent bedside manners. Very conveniently located, they definitely knew what they were doing and got me in and out in less than an hour, and I didn’t have an appointment thus I highly recommend this location.

Went this morning for ear pain no other symptoms the receptionist Savina had a bad attitude and was intentionally rude. I’ve been here plenty of times and never had such a bad experience. Not sure how long she’s been here but she definitely needs to have better communication skills when it comes to dealing with people who are not feeling well already. Hope she has a better day. I left and went to Orcutt Urgent Care the staff was amazing and had better energy.

The staff were rude and made us feel like we were bothering them. My granddaughter was very congested, had a cough and was lethargic. The nurse practitioner made us feel like our questions were stupid. She laughed inappropriately at questions and didn’t do a very thorough check. She didn’t bother to check my grandbaby’s nose or throat and just encouraged us to go to the ER if she got worse. My daughter voiced her concerns over other issues and she just ignored her concerns. She looked down on us and spoke to us like we were ignorant. She should be ashamed of the way she treated us!!

I started feeling sick a few days before I decided to come to this location. Took my husband there because he was also not feeling well. He was treated well and was seen right away. My experience was very different. The lady at the front desk Sebina, as soon as I walked in was condescending and insensitive. When she asked me why I was there I started to explain that I was having difficulty breathing and she asked me to speak up. Also having a sore throat this was difficult. So I start to explain my symptoms again and she continues to interrupt me. I again go to explain that I'm having difficulty breathing and she asks what that means. And when I start explaining again she interrupts me to ask if I have an inhaler. When she decides she's done with her questions. She tells me I have to pay my co pay now and says there's a wait to be seen. After waiting an hour in the car my husband goes to ask how much longer. Apparently there were still 4 other people ahead of me. I went back in and said I was going to go somewhere else and she just says okay. And I tell her I want my co pay back. She hands me a recipet and I head to the dignity clinic in orrcutt. In the time it took me to be told there were still 4 people ahead of me they treated me for my breathing. And sent me home with a perscription.

Such a friendly clean place!!!! I went in for allergy, sinus problems, everyone was so caring and helpful, I was actually welcomed in. This is unheard of in medical facilities. I had s9me issues worh my insurance and the staff was so helpful! Also Im not one to love taking antibiotics unless i really need them, so I was super happy that my provider wanted to only perscribe what was necessary. I wish I could use this place exclusively!
